We currently have an exciting opportunity available for a dedicated Operations Scheduler to join our Grace Information Management Destruction team.
You will be responsible for the day-to-day scheduling of trucks throughout the NSW / ACT area, allocation of Drivers, liaising with customers as well as confirming jobs through computer system and ensuring reduction of wastage in time and increase in productivity. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be working in a dynamic, fast-paced and changing environment.
You will be required to work closely with the Operations Manager to cultivate a driven team with a customer centric ethos and attention to detail in everything you do.
Key responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Collate orders both scheduled and ad hoc and assign them to the driving team to action in accordance with company procedure
• Use of software to gain route optimization and productivity on the set runs for drivers
• Reduce wastage of time increase productivity with drivers by providing efficient run schedules - Use of phone, email to communicate with Drivers, customer service and management keeping up to date with daily activities
- Communicate directly with clients via phone or email to inform them of service dates and changes etc and address clients concerns raised
- Produce reports on activity levels, SLA achievement, environmental targets and share with management and clients as required
- Respond to any client challenges/complaints directly in a timely fashion and ensure an appropriate resolution has been completed.
- Monitor and manage overtime and fatigue of drivers.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Proven experience in scheduling, preferably within the transport industry.
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Computer and customer service skills
- Excellent attention to detail and a positive attitude is a must.
- Demonstrate a strong safety leadership
- MR Licence or higher
- High Risk Work LF Licence an advantage
