About the role

We are seeking a part-time Medical Receptionist to join our team at our Holden Hill, SA 5088 location. In this crucial role, you will be the first point of contact for our patients, ensuring they receive a warm and efficient service. Your primary responsibilities will include managing appointment bookings, handling patient inquiries, and providing administrative support to our medical staff. The position is based at Holden Hill but will need to work at other locations as needed

What you'll be doing

  • Greet and welcome patients in a friendly and professional manner
  • Schedule and manage patient appointments, ensuring optimal workflow
  • Maintain accurate patient records and update electronic medical systems
  • Handle patient inquiries and direct them to the appropriate medical staff
  • Provide general administrative support, such as filing, photocopying, and data entry
  • Ensure the reception area is kept tidy and well-organised
  • Assist with medical billing and insurance-related tasks as needed

What we're looking for

  • Previous experience as a medical receptionist or in a similar customer service role
  • Experience with medical software like Genie or similiar
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with patients of all backgrounds
  • Excellent time management and multitasking abilities to handle a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in using medical software and electronic health record systems
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate patient records
  • Flexibility to work part-time hours, including potential evening and weekend shifts
