About the role

Manor Meals are seeking an experienced Chef who will assist the Head Chef who is responsible for the kitchen, administering all phases of the kitchen operation ensuring that the kitchen is run to the expected operational and financial standards.

You will assist the Head Chef in overseeing the kitchen and being responsible for providing a product that aims to exceed our client expectations while upholding the Manor Meals style and ethos.

This role is based at our Somerville kitchen.

As our ideal candidate, you will possess:

  • Formal trade qualifications in commercial cooking or equivalent experience
  • Strong culinary skills with a focus on quality, presentation, continuity and creativity
  • Strong leadership skills to mentor a kitchen team fostering collaboration and teamwork
  • In depth knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations with the ability to monitor and supervise OHS standards and procedures
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team and autonomously
