We are seeking a talented and motivated Junior Sous Chef to join our passionate kitchen team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to step up in their career and contribute to the success of Melbourne’s premier Bavarian restaurant.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Head Chef and Sous Chef in daily kitchen operations.
- Prepare and cook authentic Bavarian dishes to the highest standard.
- Assist in supervising and training kitchen staff.
- Ensure consistency in food quality, presentation, and adherence to recipes.
- Maintain inventory and assist with stock control and ordering.
- Follow food safety and hygiene regulations at all times.
- Contribute ideas for specials and menu improvements.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Experience as a Chef de Partie or similar role, with readiness to step into a leadership position.
- Passion for cooking and a keen interest in Bavarian/German cuisine (experience is a bonus).
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- A proactive attitude and eagerness to learn and grow.
Culinary qualifications or equivalent experience
