Job tasks and responsibilities:

  • Provide phone and email based problem solving and fault finding support for installers and customers
  • Generating cases via CRM to track and resolve customer enquiries
  • Answering technical product enquiries
  • Liaise with service, sales and repair centre departments to ensure cases are dealt with efficiently
  • Design of residential and commercial solar power generation systems using in house software and tools
  • Overseeing post solar installations and ensuring systems are commissioned as per the relevant Australian standards
  • Developing, updating and managing technical documentation for commissioning of our products and also for integration of third party electrical and communication devices with our products
  • Assist in developing the technical support process of the business
  • Assist in Sales Exhibitions and Trade Fairs
  • Liaise with Technical Support International

Skills and experience:

  • Ability to handle high volume phone calls and emails.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills – particularly verbal communication skills that will allow quick troubleshooting over the phone by getting to the root of the issue quickly and diffusing high pressure scenarios such as frustrated customers.
  • Good organisational skills
  • Solid technical understanding of Solar PV and electronics
  • The ability to prioritise and problem solve
  • Direct Solar Industry experience an advantage
  • Experience in a role which requires inter department communication and coordination an advantage
  • Relevant qualification in electronic engineering and renewable energy equivalent
  • Strong work ethic
  • Strong Microsoft windows and office skills
  • Microsoft Dynamics CRM experience an advantage
  • Solutions based mindset
