General duties of this role:

• Ensure the successful delivery of assigned project.
• Ensure effective utilisation and management of plant and equipment resources.
• Liaise with client representatives over site-based issues, working towards time efficient resolutions.
• Manage site-based activities involving direct labour, subcontractors, and materials to ensure all safety, quality and time requirements are met.
• Review construction planning and monitor progress to ensure it is on schedule and within quality, time, and cost estimates.
• Regularly liaise with Leading Hands and workers to ensure compliance to specifications, Safety, quality, and efficiency.
• Implement, monitor, and enforce use of all systems, processes, and procedures.
• Implementation of Project quality systems ensuring quality of works and documentation is being undertaken.
• Ensure regular reporting expectations are met for the client.

Key electrical duties of this role:

• Accept statutory appointment as an Electrical Supervisor and ensure compliance with associated statutory responsibilities.
• Supervise and coordinate the electrical activities ensuring productive and quality work outputs.
• Supervise and coordinate regular inspections of electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair.
• Supervise critical HV and LV electrical maintenance tasks ensuring the work is completed safely and on time.
• Assist, guide and mentor the team as required and provide hands on assistance as required.
• Liaise closely with the superintendent, and process team to prioritise electrical services.
• Assist in work planning, scheduling, and resource allocation with a focus on the weekly electrical maintenance plan.
• Understand the monthly process forecast and communicate plant targets with the maintenance team.
• Ensure employees receive adequate training and instruction to perform their work.
• Discharge of obligations under Section 44 of the WA Mines Safety & Inspections Act
• Compliance with WA Mines Safety and Inspections Act and Regulations and Duty of Care.

Requirements:

• Electrical Supervising experience on WA mine sites (de watering bores and pumps)
• WA 'A' Class Electrical License.
• FMG inducted
• High Voltage Operators Accreditation
• Cert IV in Instrumentation Preferred.
• Schedule 26 and Section 44 certification
• Electrical Nominee Appointed person.
• Certificate IV in Leadership and Management or equivalent preferred.
• Construction induction white card.
• Current Australian 'C' class manual Driver's License.
• Proven financial, risk, commercial, contractual, and human resource management skills.
• Strong proven qualities of leadership, integrity, loyalty, and performance management.
• Proven performance on successful projects with an exemplary safety track record.
• Ability to read and understand electrical schematic drawing and fault-finding control circuits.
• Ability to mentor and lead a team of electricians.
