MMS are currently seeking a fabrication workshop leading hand to join our well-established fabrication team. Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor, you will be in a hands-on leadership role. You will be overlooking daily work fronts and supervising teams of Boilermakers to complete general fabrication tasks in a safe and timely manner.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Conducting daily pre-starts/toolbox meetings.
• Providing technical oversight and guidance.
• Ensure work performed is carried out in accordance with Company & Customer standards including compliance with all ITP’s and technical procedures.
• Assisting in teaching and mentoring staff as required.
• Ensure all work is performed safely in compliance with company and legislative requirements.
• Ensuring productivity is maintained.
• Conducting HSE interactions.

What You’ll bring:
- Live locally within 1hour of the Muswellbrook area.
- Relevant trade qualifications (Certificate of Proficiency – Fabrication).
- Experience working with and supervising work fronts in workshop or field environments.
- Proven experience in a similar role.
- Great time management and communication skills
- Experience dealing with people.
- Exceptional safety standards.
- Being a team player.
- A valid drivers license.
