AssasCo (our Steel Fabrication division) at Assemco is looking for an experienced CNC Laser Cutting Machine Operator for full time position, initially working an arvo shift (start 3pm to 11.30pm) for a couple of months while we wait for our new CNC Laser to arrive, thereafter the role will be an ongoing day shift 7am - 3.30pm. Primary industries include automotive, commercial, and industrial fabrication. The role on offer is suited to an all-rounder with the ability to interpret working drawings and execute fabrication tasks with accuracy and efficiency.

Reporting to Product Development Manager, responsibilities include:

• Responsible for all CNC laser cutting production
• Running 4KW Yawei 3000x1000 laser
• Material handling with 3T forklift and OH crane
• Pick & pack both internal and external orders
• Maintain expected daily production output quantities

Specialist knowledge, competencies, and skills:

• Experience operating a CNC laser cutting machine (5yrs minimum)
• Knowledge of 4KW Yawei 3000x 1000 laser
• Valid Australian Forklift licence (FL) (required)
• Able to self motivate
