Position Overview:

As an electrical designer at JHT, you will design electrical schematics of our special-purpose machines and upgrades for existing systems. You will use your expertise on how electricity works and develop wiring and power distribution diagrams to fit the needs of individual projects. You will also be required to work closely with our sales and procurement team, electricians, and software engineers.

We expect you to:

Work with engineers, manufacturers, and product testers to create and refine designs working with Autocad and/or Eplan. Interpret standards of electrical wiring, cabling, electrical and electronic components. Interpreting design briefs and estimating production costs based on materials, timeframes, and specifications. Produce high-quality documentation, including manuals, specifications, and safety instructions. Additionally, you will be responsible for machinery inspections at local sites and providing support to the sales team by assisting in the creation of more precise quotes and proposals, bringing your proficiency in problem-solving abilities. Furthermore, your ability to communicate effectively is paramount, as it will facilitate seamless collaboration within the team, fostering an environment of innovation and shared success. Additionally, your responsibility extends to tasks such as updating your timesheet, where meticulous attention to detail is crucial, and we encourage you to complete this promptly after each shift, aligning with our values of diligence and responsibility. Lastly, respecting and responsibly handling JHT tools is paramount, ensuring their integrity and longevity in support of our shared team objectives.

Are you in your final year of studying or recently graduated with a Bachelor of Engineering in one of the following areas:

• Electrical Engineering
• Electronic Engineering
• Mechanical and Mechatronic Engineering
• Mechatronic Engineering
• Other relevant qualifications/experience will also be considered.
