The Department of Corporate and Digital Development (DCDD) is a comprehensive, sophisticated centralised corporate services agency that provides essential corporate functions to the Northern Territory Government (NTG), efficiently and effectively enabling the agencies to focus on their core business.

Procurement Services is a key enterprise service consisting of procurement professionals that provide expert advice and support to clients on procurement projects including procurement planning, specification development, procurement sourcing and tender evaluation.

Currently, there are 3 x AO6 and 3x AO7 positions available in the team for experienced procurement professionals and those working towards becoming one. Appointments to the AO6/AO7 level will be decided by a Selection Panel based on qualifications and level of experience of the applicant.

As a Procurement Advisor (AO6), you will provide a centralised procurement advisory and support service to client agencies in accordance with the Agency Procurement Services’ Service Statement, the Northern Territory (NTG) procurement Framework and the Buy Local Policy. You will apply your skills to prepare procurement tender and quotation documents, incorporating technical specifications and responding to enquiries from prospective tenderers.

As a Senior Procurement Advisor (AO7) you will provide support on more complex projects, build strong relationships and work collaboratively and constructively with the client agency staff to achieve the desired outcomes.

This is a fast-paced environment that will make good use of your sound knowledge of procurement policy and legislation, and your demonstrated experience in end-to-end procurement and contract management. Your support and technical advice will position you with clients as a go to person to assist them make informed decisions on sound procurement principles. In addition, your strong interpersonal, communication and negotiating skills along with your ability to prepare procurement tender documents and quotations will ensure compliance with the NTG Procurement Framework.

A Certificate IV in Procurement and Contracting qualification or equivalent is desirable.
