This is a pivotal role within the team, and as a valued Senior Advisor (Procurement) your responsibilities will include:
• Develop, review and implement corporate procurement systems (policies, procedures and processes) to achieve effective and efficient procurement across the region.
• Implement governance processes to ensure best practice outcomes and relevant reporting requirements of TMR.
• Deliver assigned work and provide authoritative accurate procurement support and advice in alignment with the departments' procurement procedures to continuously improve NQ Region's compliance and optimise procurement outcomes.
• Provide comprehensive, influential advice and analyse issues where required and make recommendations.
• Assist in the implementation of the Queensland Purchasing Policy to ensure probity, accountability and procurement outcomes are met.
• Provide expertise, support, and advice to key stakeholders across the region in relation to business and financial planning, budgeting, reporting and procurement. Perform detailed monthly reconciliations and reporting, quarterly and annual reviews, where necessary, proactively resolving issues and anomalies identified.
• Establish and maintain effective internal and external relationships.
• Provide advice and recommendations to senior management on significant procurement and budget issues.
• Provide leadership to appropriate staff to achieve regional procurement and financial outcomes.
This role reports to the Regional Business Manager.
