The Role

The Directorate of Strategic Energies and Planning in Fuel Capability Branch (FCB) is a multi-disciplinary team delivering strategic and policy advice on Australian Defence Force fuel preparedness, national energy resilience matters, and activities supporting the Australian Government’s national support agenda. We are seeking motivated and enthusiastic individual to provide oversight and policy support to fuel/energy policy initiatives.

Key duties include:

  • Support the preparation of briefs, ministerial reporting, and communications products regarding Defence’s fuel and energy requirements.
  • Contribute to national preparedness and support in collaboration with Australian Government agencies and industry stakeholders.
  • Coordinate engagement activities with external agencies in relation to Whole of Government fuel/energy policies.
  • Support the Director Strategic Energies and Planning to manage Defence's efforts to support implementation of the National Defence Strategy.
  • Represent Fuel Capability Branch at meetings, conferences, seminars and committees.
