At Suncorp, we’re seeking a Senior Lawyer to provide high-quality, strategic legal advice to our Consumer Insurance team. This is a unique opportunity to work on complex legal matters, including claims, compliance, and regulatory change, while championing innovation and collaboration across teams.

What You’ll Do

• Deliver expert legal advice on commercial insurance compliance and regulatory issues
• Partner with the business to simplify legal challenges into actionable strategies
• Provide insights on legislative changes impacting the Consumer Insurance sector
• Mentor and develop junior lawyers within the team
• Proactively manage risks and escalate critical issues to protect the Group

What You’ll Bring

• Admission as a Solicitor or Barrister in Australia with 6+ years of relevant post-admission experience
• Expertise in financial services law, including the Insurance Contracts Act and Corporations Act
• Strong ability to handle complex legal matters with a commercial mindset
• Excellent communication and relationship management skills
• A proactive, collaborative approach to navigating a dynamic regulatory environment
