Indie College is a not-for-profit Registered Training Organisation (RTO) that delivers nationally recognised training.

Indie College supports young people and adults to re-engage back into education who may have disengaged or are impacted by a variety of personal or health circumstances. We explore individual goals related to pathways back into school, employment or further accredited training, whilst assisting the development of Language, Literacy and numeracy skills and building confidence.

Indie courses are delivered in either one-on-one, small or large group settings.

Indie College is seeking a full time Liaison Officer (Vocational Education) support our Let's go and VET in School team. This position can be based at any of our Sydney sites, Liverpool, Paramatta or Fairfield.

Indie College is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) that provides alternative accredited education and training to support both youth and adults re-engage into education and training. In partnership with Indie School we offer alternative educational programs supporting a mixed cohort including disengaged youth, adults with low literacy and numeracy skills and people with a disability. We strive to develop literacy and numeracy skills, build confidence, support goal setting and develop sustainable employability skills.

Core Workplace Objectives

  • Ensure compliance against standard operating procedures.
  • Support and train Trainers and Assessors in you location.

Workplace Tasking & Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance against standard operating procedures.
  • Support and train Trainers and Assessors in you location
  • Ensure continuous compliance against standard operating procedures. Promote and recruit Learners who would benefit from the program.
  • Manage, provide support and training to Coaches in your location and lead by example.
  • Assist with creative and technical development work in relation to program delivery.
  • Ensuring that the decision making as a development team member is informed by the Indie College standards, policies and procedures and information gained from your Indie Liaison Business Manager
  • Promote the Programs to various organisations and stakeholders;
  • Monitor reports including overdue, attendance, scanning, target numbers etc.
  • Facilitate learner/Student pairings and groupings which utilise safer and more efficient delivery techniques;
  • Complete Learner/Student induction & enrolments between Indie College & lndie School(s).
  • Assist the Regional Manager, Let's Go & VETiS Manager and Executive Manager with other duties as required.

For this position with our company, applicants must:

  • Demonstrated experience in vocational education and training including a working knowledge of Australian Quality Training Framework (AQTF) and National Vet Regulator (NVR) Standards.
  • Ability to develop, plan, implement and manage multiple projects
  • have strong interpersonal skills;
  • have the ability to work as part of a strong team.
  • be highly organised and have strong attention to detail;
  • have experience and/or demonstrated ability in working with youth;
  • demonstrate the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines;
  • have strong written and oral communication skills;

Essential requirements to verify before commencement:

  • Current Driver’s license
  • Annual National Police Check (completed in the 3-months prior to appointment)
  • Current Working with Children’s Check-in State/s of operation

Hours of Work:

  • Monday to Friday – 8.30 am to 4.36 pm.
  • Christmas Closure period (Dec/Jan,10 A/L days)

Remuneration:

  • Level 9 - $87,503 per annum plus superannuation
  • Attractive PBI Salary packaging is on offer through Maxxia.
  • Dicressionary motor vehicle
