The Opportunity
Iconic Catering is looking for a FIFO 2:1 Kitchen Hand & Cook to support our Village Chef in delivering top-quality meals at our remote mine-site villages.

The Role

As a Kitchen Hand & Cook, you’ll work alongside the Village Chef, assisting with daily kitchen operations. Your responsibilities include:

• Kitchen hand duties: Dishwashing, cleaning, and maintaining kitchen hygiene
• Making sandwiches, salads, and breakfast items
• Cooking support: Assisting the chef with meal preparation and baking
• Stock management: Maintaining crib food levels and minimising waste
• Hygiene & compliance: Following HACCP food safety standards and workplace safety procedures

The Person

• Previous kitchen experience, preferably in remote FIFO roles
• Knowledge of food safety & HACCP principles
• Certificate in any Commercial cookery
• Strong time management & teamwork skills
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical, drug & alcohol test, and police clearance
• WA Driver’s License & White Card

Desired

• Ability to work either night shifts or day shifts as required
• Valid First Aid Certificate (HLTAID011 - Provide First Aid) within the last 3 years
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn new systems
• White Card
