About Textured Concept Foods: Founded in 2012 by chef Darren Benfell and dietitian Dr. Lisa Sossen, Textured Concept Foods combines culinary expertise with nutritional science to create texture-modified meals that are safe, nutritious, and enjoyable. Our products cater to individuals with dysphagia, ensuring they can continue to enjoy their food at home or within healthcare settings. We produce the largest variety of value-added texture-modified products in Australia, all designed to maximise nutrition, taste, and positive dining experiences.
Available Positions:
Cook - Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and examine food to meet Textured Modified Nutrition recipes and requirements.
- Follow the daily agenda to cook the required food items.
- Blitz, prepare, and cook texture-modified food.
- Check food taste and consistency to ensure quality.
- Perform daily cleaning tasks as required.
Dessert Chef - Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare desserts according to the daily agenda.
- Correctly label all ingredients and products.
- Mould desserts when necessary and assist in other kitchen areas as needed.
- Maintain food quality standards by checking food temperature and ensuring proper cold storage.
- Follow recipes precisely, ensuring any changes go through the kitchen recipe process.
- Perform daily cleaning tasks as required.
Kitchen Hand - Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in ingredient preparation, following recipes and HACCP guidelines.
- Retrieve, clean, dry, and store production moulds.
- Clean and sanitise bench tops and packing machines.
- Manage waste disposal, including setting up bins, emptying, and replacing liners.
- Operate, fill, empty, and store equipment from the dishwasher.
- Assemble packing boxes, operate packing machines, and label products.
Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) Responsibilities:
- Follow all OHS guidelines as per Occupational Health & Safety Legislation and Textured Concept Foods’ OH&S Manual.
- Maintain compliance with food hygiene, HACCP, and IDDSI standards.
