Who are we looking for?
We are seeking a Registered Nurse to join Student Services, People Services, Administrative Division.
QUT is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to provide high-quality nursing care to the University community and the general public on a part-time, ongoing basis across the Kelvin Grove and Gardens Point campuses. The successful candidate will deliver patient-centered care through advanced practices such as triage, assessment, and evaluation. Key responsibilities include administering treatments, managing immunisation clinics, conducting health assessments, and addressing youth health challenges.

Student Services is responsible for providing a range of services to support the health and wellbeing of students in areas of Accommodation, Chaplaincy, Counselling, Disability Support, International Student Support, Welfare Services and QUT Medical Centers..
What you need to succeed
- Current registration with APHRA as a Registered Nurse, combined with a minimum of 4 years’ experience in the General Practice setting.
- Nurse Immuniser Accreditation.
- Demonstrated ability to make independent clinical decisions whilst working as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Proven intercultural competency and a good understanding of issues facing adolescents, young adults and students from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
- Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated administrative and digital literacy skills including maintaining records and using Microsoft Office suite.
- Demonstrated ability in using Best Practice Medical or the ability to rapidly acquire these skills.
- Demonstrated experience in the development and implementation of health promotion and health education activities, particularly related to contemporary youth health issues.
