The successful candidate:

As the Meetings & Events Manager you will be responsible for the overall success of events at PARKROYAL Parramatta. Your purpose, includes but not limited to,

  • Leading and Managing the Meeting & Events team.
  • Hands-on role managing existing clients and new clients.
  • Actively promoting, generating leads, and cross selling across the Pan Pacific Hotels Group portfolio and work with team members to maximise opportunity.
  • Complete forecasts, plans, and reports and help prepare the departmental budget and financial plans.
  • Drives success by generating new business and growing existing business
  • Provides customer intelligence in evaluating the market and economic trends that may lead to changes in meeting & events strategies.
  • Develop strong community and public relations by maintaining property participation in local, regional and national trade shows, client events, and other client related activities as required.

Ideally you will have:

  • A passion for delivering strong sales results, successful clients events while having fun.
  • Demonstrated meeting and events experience, gained in hospitality, venues, PCO or events industries.
  • A thorough understanding of MICE, including sales and operations
  • Experience at leading, managing and motivating teams.
  • Passion for managing customer relationships and internal stakeholder relations.
  • Strong presentation, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical, time management and multi-taking skills.
  • Experience with Opera Sales and Catering is high desirable. (Training provided)
