We are seeking an experienced Automotive Refinisher on behalf of our client. In this role, you'll be responsible for masking areas, mixing and applying paint, and ensuring a smooth finish on vehicles. Duties include using spray guns for primer and finishing coats, sanding surfaces between coats, and polishing vehicles. This is a full-time, permanent position with working hours from 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday. Salary negotiable based on experience.

Description

  • Mask areas of vehicles not to be painted, using tape and paper for precise protection.
  • Mix and match paints to ensure the perfect color match for each vehicle.
  • Apply primer and finishing coats using spray guns, ensuring a smooth and even application.
  • Sand surfaces between coats to achieve an impeccable finish.
  • Touch up paintwork as needed to restore or enhance the vehicle's appearance.
  • Apply polish to vehicles for a glossy, professional final finish.
  • Work efficiently to meet quality and safety standards.
  • Follow all company procedures and health & safety guidelines.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Profile

  • Must hold a Cert III in Automotive Refinishing Technology.
  • Preferably 1 year of experience in spray painting or automotive refinishing.
  • Strong attention to detail and precision in painting and finishing work.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
  • Skilled in using spray guns, sanders, and other refinishing tools.
  • Excellent knowledge of automotive paints, primers, and finishes.
  • Able to follow safety guidelines and company procedures.
  • Good time management and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Passion for delivering high-quality results and customer satisfaction.

Job Offer

The job offers a competitive salary range of $70,000 to $80,000 per year, plus superannuation.
