View Melbourne is looking for a competent Maintenance Manager to work in its hotel located on St. Kilda Rd.

In this job role, you will be responsible for the following

• Develop plans and actions that uphold quality standards in respect of ongoing maintenance and upkeep in all areas of the hotel.
• Establish productivity measures to identify opportunities to improve workflows and process efficiencies
• Review business forecasts to ensure appropriate resourcing levels are in place to meet day to day the demands of the engineering department that are within approved budgetary guidelines
• Cultivate a workplace environment that is positive, supportive and focused on delivering exceptional guest services
• Internal communications with colleagues and management that are regular and emphasize clarity of purpose, transparency of expectations, informative and targeted towards meaningful guest & colleague experiences
• Work closely with General Manager, Rooms Division and Food & Beverage Departments
• Maintain effective working relationships with contractors and suppliers
• Certification and Safety Compliance of the Hotel

You must have the following

• Experience minimum 2 years in similar role
• Technical background in a trade, e.g. Electrician as preferred or others in building industry
• High attention to detail, multitasking as it's a small team and time management
• Strong communication skills
• When required, flexibility to be able to work on weekends and public holidays
