The Role
We are recruiting for a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) role. This role is Permanent Full Time, working from Monday-Friday during business hours in a Southern Brisbane location (10kms from the CBD). Hours of work are flexible, as long as the needs of the business are met. There is the occasional requirement to attend weekend events.
The CEO will lead the development and execution of our client's Strategic Plan, ensuring alignment with the organisation’s vision. As part of the Executive Leadership team, the CEO will provide strategic direction, oversight, and support to staff, while managing daily operations. The CEO will work closely with the Board of Directors to achieve strategic goals and ensure services align with best practices. Key responsibilities include operational management, fostering partnerships, financial stewardship, workforce leadership, grant and tender writing, and ensuring service quality, safety, and sustainability for overall organisational success.
Key Responsibilities
- Champion our client's vision, mission, values, and community initiatives.
- Provide leadership, supervision, and support to 10 direct reports, 50 paid staff, and the organisation's volunteers.
- Develop and monitor strategic plans, KPIs, and performance reports for the Board.
- Ensure effective collaboration with government, stakeholders, and partners.
- Lead Tender and Grant writing processes for the organisation
- Oversee financial management, budgeting, and compliance with funding requirements.
- Ensure compliance with WHS, accreditation, and legal standards.
- Lead employee and volunteer recruitment, development, and performance evaluations.
- Support HR management, including recruitment, training, and compliance with employee policies.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, quality management, and risk management.
- Oversee the development and execution of business, marketing, and promotion strategies.
- Ensure smooth operations and timely service delivery while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Stay informed of sector changes, providing guidance to the Board and staff.
To Be Successful
- Tertiary Qualifications in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Community Services, or Human Services.
- Current QLD Drivers Licence
- Current National Police Check
- Current National Bankruptcy Check
- Proven experience in leadership within not-for-profit organisations, with a focus on community and/or aged care services.
- Knowledge and skills around tender and grant writing
- Demonstrated expertise in the Aged Care Sector, including knowledge of key policies and regulations.
Desirable
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
- QLD Blue Card
- Knowledge and skills within the IT space
Salary and Benefits
- $120,000.00 per annum + 11.5% Super
