About the Role
You will be responsible for the preparation of rostering and scheduling to meet the staffing requirements of Community Aged Care on a daily and a cyclical roster. You will use your excellent planning and organisational skills to ensure staffing needs are aligned to meeting the resident's necessities and organisational goals.
Key Role Accountabilities:
- Responsible for planning, effective coordination and communication is done prior to final presentation of rosters to all stakeholders in a timely manner and in accordance with sound rostering principles, WMQ policies such as Sick Leave and Annual Leave and applicable Enterprise Agreements.
- Provide ongoing and active support and assistance to the Managers in filling in shifts in cases of any last-minute changes due to the non-availability of staff due to emergencies and or sick leave
- Ensure that all preapproved leave provided by the Managers have coverage with staff and ensuring appropriate staffing levels are always met.
- Ensure effective communication is carried out with all relevant stakeholders whilst maintaining a high-level discretion and confidentiality through staff interactions.
- Ensuring updated records are kept and maintained and accurate data entry is made into rostering systems and as per the requirements of the Pay Office and to meet business and payroll deadlines
- Ensure real time data is reflective of currency of rosters to shifts allocated and all exceptions are duly verified and submitted to Pay Office in a timely manner.
- Ability to complete system reports to aid in both functional efficiencies and operations and as directed by the Team Leader.
- Escalate any ongoing specific staffing trends and deficiencies to the relevant Managers to manage and mitigate any risks in timely manner.
- Ensure all communication and interaction with staff is respectful, empathetic and aligned to WMQ values.
- Undertake any other duties as directed by the Manager including the participation in projects as directed by the Manager.

- Demonstrated ability to coordinate rosters with minimal supervision and working collaboratively as part of a multi- disciplinary team.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience working within Residential Aged Care, Health Care, Community Services or Disability services would be preferred
- High level time management, multitasking problem solving and organisational skills.
- High level interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
