We have been retained by this $3b group to appoint a Finance Business Partner who will support the IT function within this organisation. Whilst not an IT business or organisation the CFO is looking to appoint an individual who has previously worked in a senior finance role for and had exposure in supporting an IT function. You will be the "go-to" person in finance for all financial related matters. In short you will come equipped with the technical capability, personal impact to partner with Head of Finance and wider finance ELT.
As the key business partner you will provide overall leadership and direction across both the financial and commercial reporting. This is a "hands on" environment where you will need to implement robust financial controls to ensure a best practice environment is achieved. Additionally, you will be tasked with building key relationships with the Business leaders, managing their operating costs and providing economic insights of high profile projects. It is expected that you will drive finance process improvement around operations & supply and be the overall custodian of the financial results and the strategic planning process - this is a genuine business partner role. You will provide support in the following areas
- Preparation of monthly financial statements and supporting documentation for management review,
- Maintaining accuracy and integrity of general ledger for multi-national, multi-site operations
- Maintaining daily and weekly operational reports to support key management and operations decision-makers
- Analysing business KPIs within the operational reports to quantify the business impact and understanding key levers of the business performance,
- Assisting the CFO and Finance team management with project work including system development, financial analysis, business acquisitions, operational improvement projects, and other projects as required
Skills and Experience
- Tertiary qualified in finance/accounting (mandatory)
- CPA/CA qualification (in progress or completed - mandatory)
- Background and experience in a mid-large public accounting environment is desirable
- Financial accounting and financial reporting experience within an evolved and structured finance operation
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skill
CA or CPA qualified, with commercial experience in a broad and hands-on role, preferably in an IT services environment. You have strong attention to detail and have the ability to motivate and influence others, effectively creating a business partnering environment to assist in commercial decision-making. Your excellent interpersonal and communication skills give you the confidence to engage and influence those above and below you and across the organisation. You have strong commitment to ongoing personal development and improvement of processes, and aspire to value-add in your next long-term career step.
