We have an exciting and rare opportunity for a motivated Trade Assistant to join our client’s energic maintenance team. This is a great chance to contribute to the smooth operation of our client’s day to day production, while gaining valuable hands-on experience. Span of rostered hours across Monday – Friday 6:00am – 6:00pm

Typical tasks, include:

• Perform maintenance checks on site equipment and machinery, as directed by the Maintenance Manager
• Basic TIG welding
• Maintain / clean work areas, as directed
• All other related tasks, as directed

To be considered:

• Previous experience in the manufacturing food industry, highly regarded
• Proven experience as Maintenance Trade Assistant, with practical experience in TIG welding
• Possess mechanical aptitude
• Have sound knowledge and be competent in the use of basic hand and power tools
• Be physically fit
• Have a strong work ethic
• Strong and concise verbal communication skills.
• Be able to work in a chilled work environment.
• No fragrances or jewellery permitted or be willing to remove.
• You must have your own reliable transport.
• PPE – own safety boots and Hi Vis.
• Due to the nature of the role, MUST have full Australian Work Rights.
