About Dogs’ Homes of Tasmania — always here, for every dog
For over 70 years, Dogs’ Homes of Tasmania has been dedicated to the care and welfare of Tasmania’s dogs. As the largest canine welfare organisation in the state, we reunite around 1,500 lost dogs with their families and help around 2,000 abandoned or unwanted dogs find new homes every year. Our mission, "Getting to Zero," ensures that no healthy, temperamentally sound dog is ever euthanised.

At Dogs’ Homes of Tasmania, we operate as a close-knit team of dog-lovers across our locations in Hobart, Launceston, Burnie, and Devonport. Our commitment to being the best friend to all dogs in Tasmania—especially the stray, abandoned, lost, and unwanted—is unwavering. Every dog in our care is provided for as long as it takes to find them the right home.

Joining our team means making a meaningful impact on the lives of Tasmania’s dogs. Your dedication and compassion can help provide a brighter future for dogs in need.
