Lucia’s Pizza & Spaghetti Bar is a cherished establishment in Adelaide, renowned for its authentic southern Italian cuisine. Founded in 1957 by Lucia Rosella, this family-run business has been delighting locals and visitors for over 67 years.
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Cook to join our kitchen team and contribute to executing outstanding Mediterranean meals and delivering an exceptional service to customers at all times.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Cooking entrees, mains, and desserts per recipe/menu requirements;
• Baking, grilling, or frying meats, Pizza, fish, vegetables, Pastas and other foods.
• Properly using kitchen appliances like ovens, grills, stoves, and mixers.
• Boiling and steaming meats, fish, vegetables, Pasta’s and other foods
• Ensuring the freshness of ingredients
• Preparing dishes according to set menus and customer orders, seasoning food.
• Chopping, slicing, measuring, and weighing ingredients as per recipe
• Arranging and garnishing food on serving dishes and serving meals
• Maintaining condiments and foodstuff
• Cleaning work areas, equipment, utensils, and dishes
• Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards, including proper handling and storage of food items.
• Follow all OHS&W procedures and requirements
• Produce quality and consistent meals;
• Ensure food quality is met by close monitoring of stock wastage; and
• General cleanliness and making sure that strict hygiene levels are maintained for guests well being.

To be the successful in joining our team you will have:
• Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training, or Certificate IV or at least 3 years work experience in lieu
• Must have at least 1 year work experience as a Cook in a busy kitchen (or similar relevant role)
• Must be competent and versatile across all kitchen operations
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and work effectively within a team
• Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people (customers, employees, Managers).

Remuneration:
• Annual salary of $70,000 to $76,000 pa plus superannuation
