Position: Cook (full-time)

Salary $73150 - $80,000 plus superannuation

The Restaurant

Trading since 2010, we are the sister restaurant to the iconic Claypots Seafood Bar in St Kilda and Claypots Barbarossa anchored in Hardware Lane.

The venture is located on the outer corner of the South Melbourne Market, and our crew have been gladly voted South Melbourne Market’s Favourite Eatery for two continuous years.

Our seafood restaurant as features a fusion of Mediterranean and Asian styles with an emphasis on fresh, local and delicious seafood.

Besides our traditional dishes, our chalkboard menu also changes daily with variety of fresh fish according to market's availability . This variableness requires our cook to work flexibly with chefs to produce quality dishes.

We are looking for a qualified and experienced cook to join our business on a full-time basis. Salary on offer is $73150-$80000 plus super, depending on experience.

Duties Include

• Regulating temperatures of ovens, grills and other cooking equipment;
• Preparing and cooking food;
• Seasoning food during cooking;
• Portioning food, placing it on plates and adding gravies, sauces and garnishes;
• Storing food in temperature-controlled facilities;
• Preparing food to meet special dietary requirements;
• Cleaning and following health and safety procedures

To be considered for this position, you must-:

• have previous experience in the industry or in a similar role (at least 1-2 years)
• Have relevant qualifications or skills
• be self-motivated, creative, confident and enthusiastic
• be a team player
