iFiX Property Services is seeking a highly energetic, enthusiastic and experienced handyman to join our growing Property Maintenance team. Reporting to the Manager, the successful applicant will be responsible for interior and exterior repair, maintenance, and upgrade projects at our clients' properties.

About the role:

This is a full time role. You will be supplied with a company vehicle and must have your own tools, any specialty tools required will be supplied by the company. You will travel to various locations from Brisbane to Toowoomba and anywhere in between performing various maintenance tasks at both residential houses and commercial sites.

Tasks you would be required to carry out will vary from day-to-day and any training required to perform specific tasks will be given, however being competent in repairing damaged plasterboard is a must. Occasionally some weekend/overtime will be required.

Job responsibilities:

• Perform walk-through assessments and prepare cost estimates
• Perform basic repairs (e.g., wall damage, door replacement)
• Complete general maintenance work
• Assemble and Move heavy furniture, appliances, and equipment
• Clean windows, gutters, pavement, and other exterior surfaces
• Paint surfaces and apply stain as needed
• Take on other installation, repair, and maintenance duties as needed and legally permitted
• Follow workplace health and safety rules
• Accurately log billable hours using a time tracking app
• Manage job details, review daily tasks, using our Maintenance Management app
  
  From time to time you may be required to help out with some garden maintenance work but the majority of your day would be maintenance repairs.
  
  About you:
  Ideally the successful candidate will have worked in a similar position enabling a smooth transition.

• Must have the right to work in Australia.
• Have a positive friendly attitude.
• Must be well presented, fit, reliable and punctual.
• Be a self starter and be able to work unsupervised and supervise others.
• Must have a strong work ethic and attention to detail is essential.
• Must have or be able to obtain a paid working with children blue card and National Police check.
• Must have a current Australian driver's licence.

An hourly rate will be negotiated with the successful applicant and will depend on your experience.
