As part of our expansion, we are looking for an experienced Medical Science Liaison (MSL) with medicinal cannabis expertise to join our team. This is a travel intensive, national role responsible for building relationships with healthcare practitioners, clinics, and pharmacies to ensure prescribers and dispensers are fully informed on the safe and effective use of medicinal cannabis.
Position Overview
As our Medical Science Liaison, you will be on the road for a large portion of your role, educating and supporting doctors, clinics, and pharmacies, helping them understand the therapeutic applications, regulatory frameworks, and patient access pathways for medicinal cannabis. You will also manage key accounts, including pharmacies, ensuring they have the necessary resources and knowledge to dispense cannabis medicines responsibly.
This is not a desk job—you will be actively traveling to strengthen relationships, host educational sessions, and provide on-the-ground support. If you enjoy face-to-face engagement, independent travel, and building meaningful industry connections, this role is for you.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage key accounts, including pharmacies, ensuring they have up-to-date knowledge on medicinal cannabis formulations, regulations, and best practices for dispensing.
- Develop and maintain strong professional relationships with healthcare practitioners, pharmacies and clinics across Australia.
- Serve as a scientific expert on medicinal cannabis, providing education and clinical insights to doctors, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Support healthcare professionals in understanding and integrating medicinal cannabis treatments into their practice.
- Manage multiple states and territory’s, engaging in face-to-face meetings, virtual consultations, and educational events.
- Stay informed on the latest clinical developments and regulatory changes in medicinal cannabis.
- Work independently while managing a national territory, requiring flexible travel scheduling.
- Assist in developing training materials and internal resources to improve healthcare provider engagement.
Criteria for Success
- Doctors, clinics, and pharmacies are confident and well-informed about medicinal cannabis prescribing and dispensing.
- Increased engagement with doctors, clinics and pharmacies across Australia.
- Improved patient access through better knowledge and relationships with healthcare providers
- Greater awareness and credibility of Cann Supply within the medical community.
Ideal Candidate Profile
To be considered for this role, you must have:
✔ Proven experience as a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) in the medicinal cannabis industry.
✔ A strong understanding of cannabis medicines, including their pharmacology, therapeutic applications, and prescribing pathways.
✔ Experience engaging with healthcare professionals (doctors, specialists, clinics) in a medical science or education-focused role.
✔ A background in pharmaceutical, medical, or clinical sciences (e.g., Pharmacy, Biomedicine, or a related field).
✔ Excellent technical communication skills, with the ability to present scientific information clearly and confidently.
✔ The ability to work autonomously, managing a national territory.
✔A current Australian driver’s licence.
