Key Responsibilities

• Reading and interpreting technical drawings and building plans
• Measuring, cutting and shaping wood materials to specifications using hand and power tools
• Building and erecting framework for roofing including rafters, trusses and beams
• Fitting doors and window frames
• Installing floor joists and subflooring
• Fixing external cladding, guttering and fascia boards
• Completing finishes including trims, skirting boards, and cornices
• Building and assembling structures and fittings
• Installing fixtures and hardware such as door handles, locks, insulating material and / or underlay
• Determining materials required for different projects and calculating costings

Selection Criteria

• Must possess a relevant trade qualification
• Must have at least 2 years of relevant experience
• Must have an open driver’s licence
• Must have own tools

Remuneration

• The hourly base rate will be set at $37.50 plus superannuation
• Company car and fuel card also included
