The Job

We are looking for qualified Carpenter who can bring their knowledge and skills and be a valuable asset to our current team. Someone who is willing to learn and grow within the company and share their knowledge with our apprentices.

We require someone with existing experience in residential building, renovations, and alterations, as this is our bread and butter. Our company does all the work from the ground up, so experience from concreting to framing to fit off is ideal. They will need to have high attention to detail and be well presented.

Within this role the duties will include:

• Coordinate tasks according to priorities and plans
• Ability to read and interpret plans & specifications
• Effective and open communication with team members, contractors, suppliers, clients and senior Drew Built staff.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, both in predicting problems and resolving problems
• Flexible attitude towards work hours (we are currently trialing working 4 day weeks- 10 hour days)
• An ability to prioritize and manage competing demands under pressure
• An ability to adapt to changing construction schedules and customer requirements
• Attention and accuracy to detail always
• Energetic, enthusiastic, competent, and fun
• Proactive, highly self-motivated, ability to work independently and under supervision.
• Ability to supervise and motivate team members

• Client focused-understanding the client needs while meeting Drew Built outcomes.
• Ability to build positive relationships with clients, co-workers, contractors, and suppliers
• In depth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment and WHS for construction

You will report to the Foreman & Supervisor.

Required:

• All personal tools necessary for residential carpentry works
• Cert 3 in Carpentry
• A desire to develop both professionally and personally.

Desired:

• Support of the social impact division of Drew Built- Exodus 31 Tradies
• Good physical condition and stamina
