Fulltime - Experienced educator pre-school room (3-5 years)
Woodstock Child Care
Posted 22 days ago
Woodstock Child Care Centre in Burwood is a privately run early childhood service where the connection with the environment is promoted through light filled rooms and a spacious outdoor environment. We are close to public transport and shops. The service caters to 63 children per day, with up to 20 children per day in the 3-5 years room.
We strongly believe that children learn through play and allow ample time for uninterrupted play, through the weekly planned indoor/outdoor programs. While planned, the development of emerging pre-school readiness skills (social & emotional development, and self-help skills) and concepts are embedded into the programs.
We are looking to hire a full-time experienced educator for the pre-school room, who works well in a small team, is proactive, able to observe, program and plan independently, but most importantly is able to develop authentic and meaningful relationships with each child.
We value each educator’s abilities and strengths and are responsive to their needs. We offer opportunities for career progression, above award wages, flexibility, ample non-contact time for programming, flexible working week (4 day week or 9 day fortnight), a rotating roster, subsidised professional development, etc.

- work in a professional work environment and contribute equally to the team.
- critically reflect on own practices and use this information to ensure the self-assessment is current and relevant.

- work collaboratively in a team
- contribute to self-reflection and the Quality Improvement and Accreditation System
- have sound knowledge of the NQF, including the EYLF, law and regulations
- build strong partnerships and relationships with all children and their families, the community and your colleagues
