About the role

This is a casual Disability Support Worker role based in Bateau Bay NSW 2261. As a Disability Support Worker, you will play a vital part in supporting individuals with disabilities to live independently and engage with their local community.

What you'll be doing

• Providing high-quality, person-centred support to individuals with a range of disabilities, including physical, intellectual and psychosocial disabilities
• Assisting clients with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, domestic duties and social participation
• Facilitating access to community resources and activities to enhance clients' independence and social inclusion
• Maintaining detailed records and following all organisational policies and procedures
• Collaborating with the broader support team to deliver coordinated care

What we're looking for

• Prior experience in providing disability support, community services or a related field
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients
• Patience, empathy and a genuine passion for supporting individuals with disabilities
• A flexible and adaptable approach to accommodate the diverse needs of clients
• Relevant qualifications such as a Certificate III or IV in Individual Support or Disability
• A current First Aid certificate and driver's licence
