SpiritAbility, a leading provider of disability support services, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Home Care Disability Support Worker to join our team in Orange, NSW. As a Casual Home Care Disability Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in empowering individuals with disabilities to live independently and enjoy an enhanced quality of life.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide personalised in-home care and support to individuals with a range of disabilities, tailoring your approach to their unique needs and preferences
• Assist with daily living activities, such as personal care, meal preparation, light housekeeping, and transportation
• Engage clients in meaningful social and recreational activities to promote their wellbeing and community involvement
• Collaborate with the client, their family, and the broader care team to develop and implement individualised support plans
• Maintain detailed records and documentation to ensure the highest standards of care
• Advocate for clients' rights and ensure their safety and dignity are always preserved

What We're Looking For

• Relevant qualifications in disability support, community services, or a related field
• Previous experience providing in-home care or support to individuals with disabilities
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities to respond effectively to changing client needs
• Demonstrated commitment to promoting the independence, inclusion, and empowerment of people with disabilities
• Current First Aid certification and a valid driver's licence

• Monday: 12:15 PM - 7:15 PM, 4:15 - 7:15PM + Active Overnight (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM x 2 staff)
• Tuesday: 4:15 PM - 7:15 PM + 12:15 - 7:15PM Active Overnight (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM x 2 staff)
• Wednesday: 3PM - 7:15PM + 4:15PM - 7:15PM
• Thursday: 4:15PM - 7:15PM - x 2 staff + Active Overnight (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
• Friday: 4:15PM - 7:15PM
• Saturday: 4:15 PM - 7:15PM
• Sunday: 4:15PM - 7:15PM x 2 staff + Active Overnight (7:00pm - 7:00AM x 2 staff)
