Your New Role!
The Marketing, Communications and Special Projects Officer will support the manager in overseeing specific operations of the Murdoch Active recreational and fitness facilities and associated exercise and wellbeing programs delivered by Murdoch Active on Murdoch University campuses.
You will coordinate a team of Work Integrated Learning & Volunteer Students to plan, deliver and develop appropriate marketing and communications of programs and services in line with Murdoch Active Strategic Plan.
Your key responsibilities will include -
- Coordinate the day to day operations of assigned special projects of Murdoch Active Recreational Facilities,
- In conjunction with the Manager, Coordinate the recruitment, appointment, training and development of all personnel required to deliver Marketing, Communications and Special Project Programs,
- Assist in developing and maintaining an effective retention program based on interactions with clients,
- Establish internal and external health and wellness providers, network groups and champions through liaison and collaboration with community and industry groups to support health promotion programs,
- Establish budgets including all income generation, cost of sales and budget expenditure associated with the delivery of marketing, communications and special projects.

This Continuous | Full Time (37.5 hours per week) position attracts a remuneration of $87,000 - $94,000 plus 17% employer superannuation contributions.

Selection Criteria:
- Certificate IV or above in Marketing and Communications, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education and training,
- Experience in stakeholder and customer relationship management,
- Prior experience in the supervision of staff, including direct reports, casual staff and volunteers,
- Ability to deliver outcomes within resource allocation and budget,
- Leadership and people management skills,
- Effective organisational and time management capability,
- Current WA Working with Children Check.
