Aged and Healthcare provider with multiple sites in Victoria is seeking an efficient and experienced Payroll Specialist, to join a driven and collaborative team who provide payroll expertise and information to over 500+ staff.

Reporting directly to the Payroll Manager, duties will include :

• Provide professional payroll services to all employees by acting as the first point of contact for any payroll related enquiries
• Proactively resolve payroll queries in a timely and effective manner or escalate where appropriate
• HR/on-boarding analysis
• New hires, terminations and leave calculations.
• Long service leave calculations
• Work Cover reporting
• Ensure fortnightly interface from the Time and Attendance system is correct and loaded on time
• Ensure confidentiality of employee records and payroll information
• Development and delivery of regular and ad hoc reporting.
• Understand and be abreast of changes to employee entitlements, government initiatives and taxation legislation.

Key Selection Criteria:

• Demonstrated experience and understanding of payroll processing in a 24/7 Health/Aged care setting is essential.
• Thorough understanding of complex healthcare/nursing awards and EBA's
• Full understanding and working knowledge around Long Service leave calculations, Workcover reporting and Superannuation Analysis
• Knowledge and experience in the management of rosters and electronic time and attendance system
• High attention to detail
• Excellent verbal communication skills and problem solving skills
