What you’ll Do
As the Senior Manager of Human Resources, you will be responsible for ensuring the operating business is supported with generalist HR services, including policy/process deployment, performance management, change support, coaching, and the provision of HR expertise to the Operations Director and General Manager cohort. The incumbent will lead a team of HR generalists, ensuring alignment and collaboration with the broader HR team.
Duties will include but are not limited to:
- Develop HR plans and priorities for regions, sites and functions.
- Identify talent and development priorities and conjointly deliver with COE’s.
- Ensure people-related change is managed effectively
- Lead the HR generalist team and instil an ethos of customer service and professionalism.
- Support and/or co-facilitate front-line leadership development programs with Talent Development
- Own and deploy relevant HR processes, working with COEs to Continuously Improve Processes.
- Act as the business SME for Oracle core HR.
- Lead Americold wellbeing programs.
- Lead Americold D&I efforts and act as the conduit with the Communications function.
- Ensure engagement and retention initiatives are in place
- Develop leadership coaching capability in partnership with Talent Development.
- Ensure attendance management practices are in place.
- Collaborate with Talent and Operations to deliver workforce and labour ratio outcomes
- Ensure performance management and workplace behaviour fundamentals are in place and low to mid-level investigations are handled by the team.
- Use HR metrics to drive improvement.
What Experience and Education You Need
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in HR or business.
- Relevant industry experience leading HR generalists in an operating business.
- The ability to build trust with HR peers and deliver collaborative outcomes.
- Strong planning and organisational skills.
- Communication and stakeholder management skills
- Systems and process improvement mindset.
- Relevant knowledge of employment law and best practice.
- The ability to solve complex problems.
- The ability to prioritise and resource plan.
- Work ethic and a can-do attitude.
- Coaching and facilitation skills with proven experience.
What Could Set You Apart
- Experience with Oracle ERP would be advantageous
- Understanding of New Zealand employment laws.
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others; listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees.
