About the Team

The CFO Advisory team specialises in subject-matter reporting and finance function advisory, offering services in carbon accounting, sustainability/climate reporting, and strategic financial advisory. The team's broader services include:

• Finance function advisory, support, and transformation
• Finance system change
• Strategic accounting (including audit readiness, financial, corporate, and sustainability reporting)
• Transaction readiness and post-transaction integrations
• Financial governance advice to public sector and major infrastructure projects

About the Role

As a Senior Manager in the Sustainability Consulting team, you will lead the delivery of sustainability and climate-related financial reporting projects. This client-facing role requires expertise in applying sustainability reporting frameworks, data gathering, and reporting processes. You will collaborate with other service lines to ensure high-quality outcomes for clients and manage multiple teams while mentoring and developing junior staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Advise clients across various sectors on tailored sustainability and climate-related financial reporting solutions.
• Manage engagements covering carbon accounting, voluntary and mandatory reporting assessments, and climate-related financial disclosures.
• Conduct sustainability reporting framework evaluations, gap assessments, roadmap development, and climate scenario analyses.
• Lead and oversee multiple teams, review deliverables, and provide coaching and mentoring to team members.
• Liaise with senior management, C-Suite, and Boards to ensure engagement objectives are met and risks are mitigated.
• Uphold the firm's quality and professional delivery standards in sustainability services.

Skills and Experience:

• CA or CPA qualification AND tertiary qualifications in a related discipline.
• Strong experience in sustainability consulting across multiple sectors, ideally within a professional services firm.
• Expertise in sustainability-related reporting frameworks (TCFD, IFRS S2) and climate-related financial impact assessments.
• Demonstrated experience in carbon accounting, climate-related risk analysis, and scenario planning.
• Strong project management, analytical, and communication skills.
• Proven ability to work with senior stakeholders, including C-Suite and Board members.
• Experience in managing and developing staff, particularly coaching junior team members.
• A collaborative mindset with a focus on delivering strategic solutions that create long-term value for clients.
