We are an established and busy Hydraulic & Industrial Hose and Fittings company located North of the River (NOR), seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Hydraulic Technician / Hydraulic Hose Technician to join our energetic team.

This role is primarily workshop-based and occasional on-site service work. The candidate must have strong technical experience and knowledge of hydraulic fittings and systems. In addition, they must also be passionate about customer service, maintaining client relationships by delivering personalized services and quick to identify potential sales opportunities of our services and products.

Requirements

Essential:

• Must be a qualified Hydraulic Technician or Hydraulic Hose Technician.
• At least 3 years relevant employment experience as Hydraulic Technician or relevant qualifications in mechanical engineering or hydraulic specialization.
• Previous experience in hydraulic hoses and fittings or a strong mechanical background.
• Valid Full Driver’s License (MR License desirable).
• Strong understanding of hydraulic threads (JIC, NPT, BSP, etc.).
• Ability to read and interpret hydraulic schematics.
• Extensive knowledge of hydraulic hoses, including working pressures and applications.
• Proven ability to diagnose hydraulic faults and rebuild hydraulic pumps, motors, and rams.

Desirable:

• Experience in customer service and sales.
• Polite phone manner and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities
• Perform hydraulic and hose assembly repairs and maintenance.
• Manufacture a wide variety of hose assemblies and hydraulic fittings.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot hydraulic systems.
• Rebuild hydraulic components, including pumps, motors, and rams.
• Use computer systems for invoicing and ordering (training provided).
• Provide in-shop customer service and support on our hydraulic systems and fitting. Delivering good customer service and maintaining a good relationship with our customers on our fittings and systems.
• Identifying opportunities for sales of our specialized services and products to current customers.
• Count and order stock monthly of hydraulic components, mechanical products and workshop supplies.
• General workshop duties such as maintaining tools, setting up tools and keeping the workshop and tools in a neat and safe manner.
