Financial Accountant – NSW Government

• Location: Sydney + WFH (hybrid)
• Pay Rate: $600 - $650 per day + Super
• Hours: Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week
• Assignment Length: Anticipated 5.5-month engagement with potential to extend

Key Accountabilities:

• Manage the lease portfolio in compliance with AASB16
• Perform complex reconciliations & variance analysis on a monthly basis
• Assist with month-end General Ledger and reporting tasks
• Contribute to lease-related cost budgeting & forecasting
• Support financial reporting & statutory audit requirements
• Assist with asset management tasks as required

What We’re looking For:

• Demonstrated accounting experience in large, complex organisations with relevant tertiary qualifications
• Proactive & detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
• Experience in reconciliation & variance analysis
• Ability to manage multiple priorities within competing deadlines
• Must be based in NSW
