As we continue to grow, we are looking for a passionate and skilled Lead Butcher to oversee operations, ensure exceptional product quality, and foster a strong workplace culture.

About the Role

As Lead Butcher, you will be responsible for overseeing operations across two stores in Warwick and Killarney, ensuring product excellence, managing inventory, and leading a dedicated team.

This is a hands-on role involving whole-animal butchery, crafting premium cuts, and maintaining the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee butchery operations across two locations, ensuring high standards of product quality and efficiency.
• Perform whole-animal butchery and maintain artisan craftsmanship.
• Manage inventory and stock control, ensuring accurate ordering and minimal waste.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the team, fostering a positive workplace culture.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety regulations.
• Engage with customers and suppliers to ensure top-tier service and product offerings.

For the right candidate, there is the potential to transition into an Operations Manager role, overseeing both locations and contributing to the business's strategic growth.

About You

• A qualified butcher with extensive whole-animal butchery experience.
• Strong leadership and team management skills, able to motivate and organise staff.
• Passionate about the paddock-to-plate experience, ensuring high-quality products from start to finish.
• Excellent inventory and stock control knowledge, with the ability to optimise operations and reduce waste.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while handling operational demands with ease.
• A strong team player who fosters a positive workplace culture.

Desirable but not essential:

• Previous experience managing a butchery or retail meat operation.
• Exposure to operational or business management.
