Magic Millions is Australia’s leading bloodstock company, with over twenty five sales held annually including yearling sales, breeding stock sales and Two-Year-Old in Training sales held in the Gold Coast, Adelaide, Perth, Launceston and Darwin. The flagship Magic Millions Carnival, Sale and Raceday held on the Gold Coast in January has grown to Australia’s number one summer carnival attracting a diverse audience of national and international visitors.
About the Role:
The Marketing & Events Executive plays a crucial role in the planning, execution and promotion of the Magic Millions Carnival. This dynamic role requires a highly organised and creative individual with a passion for marketing and events. You will be responsible for supporting the seamless delivery of the marketing campaign and a range of events, as well as enhancing the Carnival experience for attendees, and contributing to the overall success of Magic Millions.
Key Result Areas:
- Supporting the development and implementation of the strategic marketing plan to current and potential audiences both nationally and internationally to drive growth.
- Supporting the development and implementation of a strong events calendar throughout the year to drive and deliver strong economic impacts to the regions.
- Supporting the growth and development of the Sales Complex through innovations.
Responsibilities:
- Marketing & Promotions: Support the development and execution of strategic marketing campaigns to drive audience growth across Australia and internationally. Coordinate marketing collateral, website content, social media, and advertising to enhance brand visibility.
- Event Coordination: Assist in planning and delivering a dynamic events calendar, including the Magic Millions Carnival. Manage event logistics, budgets, supplier agreements, and affiliate partnerships to maximise economic impact.
- Digital & Content Management: Oversee website updates, social media content, direct email marketing, and media distribution. Ensure consistent branding and promotional messaging across all platforms.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with sponsors, media, government agencies, and event partners to ensure smooth execution and promotional success.
- Administration & Reporting: Maintain event records, budgets, and reports, assist with administrative tasks, and contribute to post-event evaluations.
Your Qualifications & Competencies:
- Minimum of 4 years marketing experience
- Minimum of 2 years events experience
- Experience with social media management and delivery
- Strong marketing analytical skills
- Highly organised
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proven experience with driving marketing campaign results
- Excellent Productivity and Prioritisation skills
- Strong Project Management Skills
- Ability to manage well under pressure and multitask
