Your role will be integral to our mission and the community we serve.

About the Role: This one-of-a-kind role involves implementing a positive engagement and development plan to increase housing opportunities for OARS CT participants, enable the growth of the accommodation service and diverse exit points, create sustainable housing outcomes, reduce the burden on social housing, and reduce reoffending.

The position, based in the City of Salisbury, offers a unique opportunity for significant personal and professional growth. Working hours will range between 8 am and 8 pm Monday through Friday, providing support and services to a 24/7 site. This role is not just a job but a chance to develop and excel in your career.

A Job and person specification is available on the OARS CT website, www.communitytransitions.com.au. The role is Level 5 within the SCHADS Award, currently $97,377 to $101,787 per annum (pro rata for part-time staff). The above award leave entitlements and salary sacrifice are applicable.

About You: You will be non-judgemental, display empathy and cultural awareness, and can interact effectively with individuals with differing personalities, cultural backgrounds, needs, and barriers. You excel at building trust, working collaboratively, and promoting reintegration and sustainable housing to the broader community and housing stakeholders.

Please direct inquiries to Louise Kelly on 0438 268 641 during business hours.

To apply, please submit your resume and a cover letter outlining your knowledge of housing and accommodation options and your experience in reducing the burden on social housing.

Ideal candidates attach a copy of your resume and will demonstrate the following in a cover letter:

  1. Demonstrated experience establishing and maintaining collaborative working relationships with Housing Providers, Property Owners, and Realtors.
  2. Experience in developing, implementing, and evaluating stakeholder communication and engagement plans
  3. Ability to work with team members, external stakeholders, and participants to achieve positive outcomes.
  4. Significant experience in advocacy and networking, promoting social justice outcomes
  5. High level of written and oral communication
