Wellington Road Dental Care (WRDC) is seeking a part-time Dental Assistant to join our well established and privately owned clinic in Morley. Our clinic provides a wide range of dental services from preventive dentistry to advanced implant placement, facial aesthetics and everything in between. We are currently on the search for our next amazing team member to join our family friendly clinic. The position on offer may be the right fit for you if you are passionate about dentistry and eager to learn within an easy going but professional work environment.

About the role:

• New part-time position 3 days a week.
• Preferred days are Monday, Wednesday and Friday. One to two Saturday mornings a month may also be required.
• The position is long term with scope to expand the hours of work commencing July/August 2025.
• You will be joining our friendly team of 4 Dentist, a Hygienist and 6 Dental Assisting staff under one central clinic.
• Full training will be provided to the right candidate commencing March 2025.

The ideal applicant should have the following skills and qualifications:

• Qualified with Certificate 3 or 4 or currently studying Dental Assisting.
• A friendly, naturally compassionate and energetic personality.
• A strong work ethic and a “can do” attitude.
• A great team player who can work within established policies, guidelines and procedures.
• Minimum year 12 secondary education with good written and verbal English communication skills.
• Good organizational, phone and computer skills.
• Good personal presentation.
• A good sense of humor.

Daily duties will include:

• Greeting patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
• Chairside assisting.
• Helping to maintain a clean and hygienic surgery with high infection control standards.
• Sterilizing instruments and maintaining clinical equipment.
• Assist with answering phone calls and basic reception duties - as needed.
• Support the rest of the team when required.

The position is ideally suited to:

• A mature minded and qualified Dental Assistant with a good sense of humor.
• A Dental Assistant student who has commenced their studies.
