Dental Assistant

We are seeking a casual Dental Nurse (approx. 20-25 hours per week over 3-4 days) with flexibility to work shifts within our business hours of 7am-7pm. The successful candidate will need to have availability on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays at a minimum.

The successful candidate must have an excellent command of the English language and be professionally presented. The position will suit someone with a passion for delivering exceptional dental care to patients, and a high level of customer service in a fast-paced environment.

We are looking for someone who can offer our patients the very best professional service whilst making them as comfortable and relaxed as possible.

Essential Attributes:

• Good typing and computer skills with experience in Word and Excel
• Professional presentation
• Team player
• Certificate III and IV in Dental Assisting (or equivalent) will be highly regarded
• Experience with photography will be highly regarded

Duties will include:

• Four-handed dental assisting
• All aspects of infection control within a dental office
• Meeting and greeting of patients, answering telephone enquiries and taking of payments
• Assisting with occasional administration tasks as required
• Lab coordination

Remuneration at above-award rates will be based on the experience of the chosen candidate.

Qualifications & experience

This is a junior role and on-the-job training will be provided to the successful candidate. Previous experience in dental assisting will be highly regarded.

Tasks & responsibilities

Primarily, your role will involve four-handed dentistry with an experienced dentist who aspires to excellence. At times, you will be required to cover front office responsibilities. You will be required to have exceptional customer service and telephone manner. Preferably, you will have experience Oasis dental software and be able to manage Outlook, Excel and Word programs.
