It’s that exciting time of year again, and we’re on the lookout for a bright and enthusiastic Dental Nurse to join our amazing team! As some of our team members head back to university and will no longer be with us, we’re looking to welcome a new, bubbly, and reliable person to call North Coast Dental “home” and help make our practice even better.

North Coast Dental is seeking a passionate and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team in Ballina, NSW. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our dentists and ensuring the smooth running of our dental practice. This hands-on position is integral to providing high-quality patient care and maintaining a positive, patient-focused environment.

Your Role:

  • Assist our skilled dental team during patient treatments, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience for everyone.
  • Prepare and sterilise instruments with precision (don’t worry, we’ll guide you every step of the way!).
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and welcoming practice environment—because we believe in creating a positive space for both patients and staff.
  • Provide exceptional customer service with a friendly attitude, ensuring each patient feels comfortable and cared for.
  • Accurately maintain patient records and documentation using Dental 4 Web, ensuring everything is up-to-date and organised.
  • Take on general administrative duties as needed—whether it’s scheduling appointments or handling patient inquiries, you’ll keep everything running smoothly.
  • Join in on team events and celebrations, because we believe in working hard and having fun together!

What We’re Looking For:

Whether you come with years of experience or this is your first job in the dental world, we would love to hear from you.

  • A Certificate III or IV in Dental Assisting, or equivalent qualification (desirable, but not a necessity)
  • Proven experience as a Dental Assistant, preferably in a similar dental practice setting (desirable, but not a necessity)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a genuine passion for patient care
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently and accurately
  • A team-oriented approach and the flexibility to adapt to a fast-paced environment
  • Strong computer skills and familiarity with dental practice management software (preferred)
  • A positive attitude and a willingness to learn
  • Reliability and commitment to the role
  • Someone who’s ready to give everything a go and have fun while doing it!
