My client is a boutique accounting and advisory firm based in the heart of North Sydney and with a 20+ year history in the market. The firm is led by a down-to-earth and passionate young Director who has ambitious growth plans for the business.

The firm provides tax and advisory services to a diverse portfolio of clients that include high-net-wealth family groups, investments, and a wide variety of small to medium businesses.

Inside the office you'll find a stable and friendly team of 5. All of the Accountants have been with the business for over 3 years and have become CA's under the mentorship of the Partner. The working environment on offer here is second to none - you'll have close mentorship and training, but also a good sense of balance. The Partner wants the team to love what they do, but enjoy their life outside of work.

In this role you will be working with the team to provide tax services to a range of clients. You'll receive both on the job training as well as having access to external training courses and programs to develop your accounting skills. You will also be provided with support to complete the CA or CPA program (this includes reimbursement of the cost of the study modules and additional leave for study and exams).

In this role as a you will be:

• Assisting with tax compliance including preparation of tax returns and financial statements BAS/IAS, GST and FBT
• Entering financial information into Xero
• Communicating with clients and responding to their queries
• Managing correspondence with the Australian Taxation Office (ATO)
• Preparing and managing invoices and client documentation

To be successful for this role you will:

• Be currently studying, or have completed an Accounting relevant degree at University
• Possess a minimum of 6-months accounting related experience
• Be looking to commence, or currently studying, your CA/CPA qualification
• Be able to demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills
