My client is a highly regarded AFR Top 50 practice with a team of 90 professional staff across their Sydney CBD and Central Coast offices. The firm has cultivated a strong brand in the industry due the quality and depth of specialist work they provide. The leadership team come from diverse backgrounds including Big 4, boutique business advisory, financial planning and industry. As a business they offer encompassing services in accounting and advisory, wealth management, and lending.

They are now seeking an experienced Accountant from Intermediate to Senior level to join their Central Coast team. In this role you will work closely with two impressive Senior Managers and will be working across both Business services & Tax and outsourced finance/Virtual CFO work. The firm services a wide variety of business and private clients up to $50 million in annual turnover. This role will offer exposure to both locally based and Australia wide clientele.

The business has a very well-developed offshore team (they were early adopters of this model and have had this in place for over 10 years). As a result, their Sydney based teams are very much geared towards advisory, review, and relationship management.

Key duties if this role include:

• Preparing and reviewing financial statements and tax returns for different entities
• Preparing BAS, IAS, CGT, FBT, Land Tax and Payroll Tax
• Reviewing the work of outsourced accountants
• Assisting with advisory and specialist project work as required
• Managing and nurturing client relationships and in time identifying opportunities for additional service offerings
• Dealing with regulatory bodies such as the ATO on behalf of clients

The ideal candidate will:

• Possess an accounting relevant tertiary degree
• Be qualified or currently studying their CA/CPA qualification (or be looking to commence this)
• Have a minimum of 2 years experience in public practice, where you have worked across different entities
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills - and be comfortable engaging with clients
