About the role

An exciting opportunity has become available for a proactive Business Development / Key account manager to grow new sales and further cultivate business from existing key accounts. You will be reporting to the Sales Manager for growth targets and building strategic relationships. With a relatively small warm data base, we are looking for a hungry sale “go getter: to hit the phones, secure meetings and present our desired services to business across Brisbane. Working from the comfort of your own home, you will have no restraints on industries you can contact to sell our hugely successful business to business training.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following;

  • Making outbound calls to both prospective and existing customers,
  • Identifying customer needs and offering tailored solutions to drive sales.
  • Generating and qualifying leads through cold calling, networking, and market research.
  • Objection handling and negotiating successfully to close sales.
  • Maintaining accurate records of customer interactions and sales activities
  • Following up on leads and inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Providing regular performance reports, customer feedback, and market insights.
  • Assisting with sales administration and ensure smooth processes

To be successful in this position you must possess the following:

  • Ideally a Certificate IV in training and assessment (desirable not essential)
  • 12 months sales experience (within the fire industry would be considered highly advantageous)
  • Drivers licence essential
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills; fluency in writer and spoken English
  • Must be willing to travel to regional areas of Victoria (once to twice a year)
  • Proof of full Covid Vaccination due to customer requirements.
