About the role
We are excited to offer Registered Nurses a unique 12-month supernumerary opportunity within Mental Health Services, with placements available in both Community and Acute Inpatient settings.
South West Healthcare (SWH) will be again conducting this innovative program that allows registered nurses to take on a fully supported role in mental health services. Successful candidates will experience placements in the Community setting, including specialty services, as well as the Mental Health Acute Inpatient Unit (MHAIU). This role will provide a comprehensive understanding of various assessments and therapeutic interventions, focusing on recovery, trauma-informed care, and family inclusiveness. To further enhance these positions, additional training, education, and clinical supervision will be provided to develop specialist skills utilised in mental health.
Position Overview
- Employment Type: Fixed Term, part-time (64 hours per fortnight) for 12 months, with opportunities for successful applicants to apply for permanent roles in Mental Health afterward.
- Location: Warrnambool Campus
- Classification: Registered Psychiatric Nurse Grade 2
- Salary: $68,541 - $96,808 pro rata plus superannuation
